In addition to our software, numerous value-added services, programs, and offerings are included with every purchase of Transfr. These include onboarding, product training, assigned Customer Success manager, curriculum resources, professional learning, grant funding guidance, 24/7 technical support, and more. Transfr customers join our broad network of organizations dedicated to workforce education—schools, development boards, non-profits, unions, and government agencies—to share best practices and maximize the scale and impact of their learning programs.

Is Mobile Device Management (MDM) software included in the lease or purchase price of the headset?

Accepted Answer

MDM software is required and pre-installed on each VR headset. Headsets leased from Transfr include the cost of MDM software, case, shipping, and technical support. However, headsets purchased from Transfr require ManageXR MDM software to be purchased at $100 per year.

Why would I buy VR headsets vs leasing them from Transfr?

Accepted Answer

For some organizations, purchasing hardware might align better with capital expenditure budgets and accounting practices compared to ongoing operational expenses associated with leasing. Once purchased, the headset is yours to keep and use without further payments or the constraints of a lease agreement. This gives you complete freedom to use the headset as you see fit. On average, purchasing and owning a headset from Transfr is $200 less expensive than leasing over 3 years.

How many learners can I assign to a Transfr product license?

Accepted Answer

Every VR headset requires a license, and most Transfr customers assign 5–10 learners to a license to facilitate effective rotation of headset usage among learners. The ratio of learners to licenses may need to be adjusted depending on the use case. Our Customer Success team can guide you on the appropriate ratio for your use case.

How much do you charge for professional learning, and what’s included?

Accepted Answer

For new customers, Transfr offers two days of professional learning at no cost: a Partnership Launch day that establishes a shared vision for how Transfr’s immersive learning enhances teaching and learning, and a Getting Started day with hands-on professional learning about VR technology, simulations, hardware, software, dashboard use, and troubleshooting. Additional learning days are offered at $3,500 for up to 20 attendees.

How many learners can use Transfr Trek’s mobile features?

Accepted Answer

There is no limit to the number of learners or usage of Transfr Trek’s mobile features, accessible via Mac, PC, tablet, or mobile phone.

Question 7

If I buy Transfr All Access licenses, do I have to pay more when Transfr adds new capabilities?

Accepted Answer

No. New capabilities such as additional VR simulations and pre-employment programs are automatically included with your All Access license at no extra charge. Enhancements are added regularly as added value for customers.
